Lucid Dreams and Dream Journal

People lose almost half of their life by sleeping. We forget approximately 95% of our dreams and the 5% that we do remember, as time goes, fades away in brains memory. While we sleep our mind passes through certain fazes and we dream only in one of them. The name of the faze that is mentioned is RAM faze or Rapid Eye Movement faze and that’s the only segment of sleep when we are able to see visual imagery and hear sounds created by our brain. Is dreaming only a biological process, or there is something behind that, more complex than we know? Answer to that question is YES. If you are familiar with Astral Projection (talked about in the first post), we can merge dreaming and AP to basically same thing, but there is a little difference: When we dream we are not in control of our Astral body, we are left to wonder the Astral plane subconsciously, and when we perform the AP we are consciously shifted into the Astral plane and we are responsible for all actions. Ever experienced something called a hypnagogic jerk? Hypnagogic jerk happens in the process of falling asleep when suddenly all of you muscles relax and your brain actually thinks you are about to fall so it sends a signal to the muscles to constrict (to prevent any damage), then you suddenly wake up with the sensation that you had really fell down. Maybe you wondered is this all just the brains fault, well part of it yes but not all. When you are slowly going in the state of relaxation and your mind wonders away, you start performing an unconscious AP, leave your body and float just a bit above it. Suddenly something disrupts you and you return to your body, basically fall into it – And that’s what really causes the hypnagogic jerk.
If you don’t want to lose half of your life just buy sleeping and don’t remembering your dreams, I will teach you to dream lucidly and to live your life in your dreams better than real one.

Lucid Dreams

Lucid Dreams are, as mentioned before, dreams where you know that you are dreaming and every action and every thought is consciously controlled by yourself. You are probably starting to think right about now: “Am I fooling you?” or “That I’m just talking nonsense”. I will prove you that everything you read here is real and achievable. Some people have lucid dreams without even trying, but of course as I mentioned before, this articles are for less fortunate ones and all those who wish to learn more.
How to start having lucid dreams? First of all you will need some things: Time clock, Journal and persistence. When you go to sleep set an alarm clock to wake you up 2 to 3 hours before you usual time. Get up, go to the bathroom, perform everything you do when you wake up and then go back to bed and fall asleep again. You will notice, well probably you noticed this before is that usually when you sometimes wake up earlier and go back to sleep you will almost always have a dream. So when you end up having a dream, it won’t be a lucid one, but have patience. Get up, take the Journal (from now on we will call it DJ or Dream Journal), write the current date and describe your dream with as much detail as possible. This is the first part of remembering all of your dreams. As time passes you will be able to remember more and more and you will have a dream almost every night (I mean remember it since we always dream during RAM faze of sleep). Now when you start recalling all of your dreams let’s learn how to take control over them. The best way of doing this besides sleep paralysis is called “Reality check”. By this I mean figuring out that you are dreaming and taking control over it. How can you do this? Well simple, before you go to sleep while lying in bed repeat these words – “I will get conscious in my dream”- several times. It may seem like this is a crazy idea, but believe me it isn’t. You will feel like that the sentence you’re saying is just ordinary and won’t have effect, but your sub-consciousness will absorb everything like a big sponge. Suddenly you will ask yourself in a dream: “Is this real?”- And I guarantee you that you will have lots of fun. You can create your own worlds, experience something that you always wanted, live another life, basically you will not want to wake up.

Until the next post, have good day.
Regards

Learn how to have Astral Projection, OBE and Lucid Dreams

Sometimes we ask ourselves questions like: “What lies beyond this existence?” and “Is there a meaning of life, or we are just coincidental creations of nature.” Throughout history we’ve been separated or should we say divided based on our beliefs, our religion. People do wonder is there a God, a being which is almighty and created us all with purpose, or “What happens when we die?”
The answer to this lies in the phenomenon called “Out of Body Experience” or shortened just OBE. How should we describe what happens during conscious OBE?  Well, our being is made out of several bodies, the physical one, and few others, let’s call them spiritual bodies and one of them is well known Astral body. When we have an OBE the astral body gets separated from our main physical body, thus the consciousness stays within Astral body. We leave our bodies and travel the Astral plane (another plane of existence), while being connected with our material body via silver cord which protect us from the complete detachment. The complete detachment happens when we die, we can no longer go back into our physical body and we can wonder the astral plane freely, until we get reincarnated (believed in some religions). This phenomenon is called Astral Projection or shortened AP. Out of body experience is the same as AP, but you don’t get to be on the astral plane, you shift in the real world (basically you can see yourself on the bed while you do this).

So let’s get started on learning how to perform AP or OBE. To some people this is easy and they don’t even have to practice to do this, but to others less fortunate ones such as me, sometimes we have to “break or chops” to do this. Before you start learning this, note that the course requires a certain amount of discipline and hard work.
When you want to practice AP or OBE you must be fully rest, otherwise while you do this you will just fall asleep and the sleep may or may not turn itself to Lucid one, but more about that later. Lie comfortably or sit in a chair whatever you prefer, close your eyes a try to relax. Relax all of your body muscles, start from feet and slowly go up relaxing you ties, hands and most important, your face. The face consists out of many muscles, and the biggest tension builds up in the jaw muscles, so you will have to relax them as well. Probably the best option for that is by massaging the area under your ears. When you are so relaxed that you feel like floating you need to focus to the blackness of your eyelids, just stare at them and try to eliminate all outside sensations such as: itchiness, swallowing reflex, moving. You will go deeper and deeper as you enter the trance state of mind. You will know if you entered it or not, because all of your consciousness will be gathered up in your head and you won’t feel your arms, legs, your body, as described before – floating sensation. If you’d try to move the only thing you would feel is a vibration of your body, sometimes it would be similar to earthquake shaking. Now from this state to fully astral project you will have to follow these simple instructions. There are many different ways to leave your body but I will show you the most effective ones.

1.       Visualization

From the trance state you will have to imagine yourself standing next to your body and I find this to be very simple. You will have to visualize that you are looking at your body and you have to let’s say fool your mind to think that you are standing, not lying or sitting cause (cause you don’t want to stay fixed to one location).

2.      Rope technique

In this technique you will have to imagine that some kind of rope is attached to the sealing and its other end is in front of you, reachable. Visualize that you’ve got a good grip on it and start pulling yourself away from your body, climbing on that non-existing rope.

3.       Roll-over

The third technique is called Roll-Over technique and requires that you in your trance state try to rollover, since you won’t be able to move you will just move your Astral body away from physical one.

While leaving your body you may or may not experience buzzing sounds or visual hallucinations, be scared (which is normal when traveling into the unknown), and stay out of body for short period of time. Don’t think that you will stay as long as you want on the Astral Plane on your first successful attempt. Don’t be afraid that you won’t be able to get back in your body. There is no way that the cord connected to your body gets severed or detached. That only happens upon death.

There is one more technique for AP that can be used for 2Lucid Dreaming (being conscious while you dream). This technique is called WILD and it requires sleep paralysis. Lie on the bed when you go to sleep or when you woke up in the middle of the night and start relaxing. Stare at the blackness of your eyelids and ignore any itchiness or swallowing reflex. Try also not to move your eyes while staring at the blackness. When a certain amount of time passes to will start feeling uncomfortable and you will want to rollover to the other site if you want to fall asleep. Ignore completely this sensation and after a while you will start to feel numbness starting from your legs then going up. Suddenly you will be completely paralyzed (may include very vivid hallucinations). Now from this point you will have to rollover, well not your body of course because you will be paralyzed and then you will start to lucid dream and if you want use the techniques noted before in the text, to leave your body.

If you can’t perform AP with this or you have hard time doing this, try this 1binaural sound to boost you to the right track (listen with headphones):

1Binaural beats or binaural sounds are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain for specific physical stimuli. This effect was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, and earned greater public awareness in the late 20th century based on claims that binaural beats could help induce relaxation, meditation, creativity and other desirable mental states. The effect on the brainwaves depends on the difference in frequencies of each tone, for example, if 300 Hz was played in one ear and 310 in the other, then the binaural beat would have a frequency of 10 Hz. The brain produces a phenomenon resulting in low-frequency pulsations in the amplitude and sound localization of a perceived sound when two tones at slightly different frequencies are presented separately, one to each of a subject's ears, using stereo headphones. A beating tone will be perceived, as if the two tones mixed naturally, out of the brain. The frequencies of the tones must be below 1,000 hertz for the beating to be noticeable. The difference between the two frequencies must be small (less than or equal to 30 Hz) for the effect to occur; otherwise, the two tones will be heard separately and no beat will be perceived.
2A lucid dream is any dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming. The term was coined by the Dutch psychiatrist and writer Frederik (Willem) van Eeden (1860–1932). In a lucid dream, the dreamer may be able to exert some degree of control over their participation within the dream or be able to manipulate their imaginary experiences in the dream environment. Lucid dreams can be realistic and vivid. It is shown that there are higher amounts of beta-1 frequency band (13–19 Hz) experienced by lucid dreamers,  hence there is an increased amount of activity in the parietal lobes making lucid dreaming a conscious process.
